Nonteaching Roles

At Belmont Charter Network, we believe that a successful educational environment is built on the collective effort of all staff members. While teachers are vital to the learning experience, our non-teaching staff play equally crucial roles in supporting our schools and ensuring that every student thrives. We are proud to maintain low staff-to-student ratios, ranging from 6:1 to 11:1, which allows us to provide personalized attention and support to each learner.

Our Support Roles

Our non-teaching staff includes a variety of positions that contribute significantly to our school community; examples include:

  • Teaching Assistants: These dedicated professionals work alongside teachers to provide additional support in the classroom, helping to facilitate learning and manage classroom dynamics. They play a key role in ensuring that all students receive the individualized attention they need.
  • Deans: Deans help maintain a positive and productive school environment. They are instrumental in addressing student behavior, fostering a culture of respect, and implementing programs that promote student engagement and success.
  • Directors of Operations: Our Directors of Operations oversee the logistical aspects of our schools, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. From managing resources to coordinating schedules, they enable our educational teams to focus on what they do best: teaching and inspiring students.
  • Custodial and Maintenance Teams: These essential team members ensure our buildings are clean, safe, and ready for students. They create an environment that extends learning beyond the classroom, supporting the health and well-being of our school community.
  • College and Career Readiness Team: This team works in our high school to equip and empower students as they prepare for their next steps after graduation. They provide guidance and resources to help students navigate college applications, vocational training, and career opportunities.
  • Social Workers: Our social workers are available on each campus to support students and their families with social service needs. They play a crucial role in addressing emotional and social challenges, ensuring that every student has the resources necessary to succeed.
  • Academic Coaches: Academic coaches collaborate with teachers in the classroom, providing positive support and targeted coaching to enhance student learning. They help create effective teaching strategies and foster a growth mindset among both students and staff.
  • Nursing Staff: Our dedicated nursing staff care for students in our onsite health centers, ensuring they have access to medical support and promoting overall wellness. Their efforts are vital in helping students stay healthy and engaged in school and programs.
