Spotlight on Charles Clory

Charles Clory is a tenth-grade student at Belmont Charter High School. Charles began his journey with Belmont Charter Network as a preschooler at Belmont Academy Charter School. With a smile on his face and his positive attitude, Charles tries to bring joy to everyone that he meets. Assistant Head of School, Allison Trapp, describes Charles as someone who has a beautiful outlook on life. Charles serves on the Belmont Charter High School Student Council, he is a student representative of the school’s advisory committee, a member of the homecoming committee and the founder of the Belmont Charter High School Choir. Through Belmont Charter Network Charles was afforded the opportunity to volunteer as a tour guide at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. After High School, Charles plans to enroll in a Seminary College to become a Minister. The Belmont Charter Network family is very proud of Charles and all of his accomplishments!

What is your favorite subject?

My Favorite Subject is Math.

 

How has Belmont Charter Network played a part in your success?

Through Belmont Charter Network, I volunteer my time at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art as a tour guide. I am the founder and director of the Belmont Charter High School Choir, student body vice-president, a member homecoming committee, student representative of the school advisory committee and I was able to connect with the Cramers uniform company, and get my first job.

 

In what ways do you believe that you’ve made a difference in your school?

I believe that I have brought joy and happiness through the BCHS choir. I also think that I have a positive impact on other students with a positive attitude.

 

Who is the one person in the network who has made a difference in your life?

Ms. Malaun Yuille because she helped me get into high school and get my first job. Ms. Yuille has introduced me to many opportunities within the school.

 

What favorite part of the school day?

My favorite part of the school day is going to my electives. I also enjoy interacting with the teachers because they care about me and give me advice.
