Our Impact

 

Belmont Charter Network is proud of the lives we have touched over the years. Since our inception in 1998, we are proud to have:

  • Served 4500 instructional days
  • Prepared 2520 students for Kindergarten
  • Provided 4000 youth with after school enrichment opportunities
  • Served 1,400 students at our health center
  • Prepared 600+ alumni to attend select, high quality secondary and post-secondary schools throughout Philadelphia

Timeline

1999

Family Charter School (later renamed Inquiry Charter School) opened as one of the State’s first public charter schools.

2002

Belmont Charter School was founded as the City’s first turnaround school model with 350 K-5 students.

2003

The Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia (CEAWP) was founded to serve the social and emotional needs of the Belmont Charter School.

2003

CEAWP was awarded the Belmont Community Head Start Program serving 76 Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarden Students.

2005

CEAWP opened the Belmont Out-of-School-Time Program serving 200 students.

2009

Belmont Charter opened a staff daycare program to meet the needs of its growing community.

2011

Belmont Charter opened a student Health Center within its school in partnership with EduPlus. In January of 2015, the Belmont Community Health Center opened its doors to the surrounding community.

2015

Inquiry Charter School opened.

2017

The Belmont Charter High School proudly welcomes its first class.

2018

Divided our 1st through 8th grade building into two stand alone schools: Belmont Charter Elementary School and Belmont Charter Middle School.

2020

Belmont Charter Network quickly pivots to accommodate the evolving needs of our students during the global pandemic.  We provide XXX number of chromebooks and partner with Philadelphia ConnectED to bridge the digital divide along with our families.

2021

Belmont Charter High School graduates it’s first graduating class with a XX% graduation rate.

2022

Belmont Charter Network focuses on the future of education as we move into a post-pandemic world
