GRADES 6 THROUGH 8

Belmont Charter Middle School

Respect, Ownership, Achievement, Resilience (ROAR) are the core values of Belmont Charter Middle School, Pennsylvania’s first turnaround school.

WHAT SETS US APART

While we are a charter school, Belmont primarily serves families living in the immediate neighborhood.

Our student motto is “I am greatness in the making,” and by challenging ourselves and celebrating each other’s successes, we strive to create an environment where every student shines.

A Day in the Life at Belmont Charter Middle School

Morning Learning

Students begin their day with a healthy breakfast.

Each day, every class has a morning meeting where we learn about each other and have fun preparing for the day ahead. This also helps us to build strong relationships between friends and between each teacher and student.

Afternoon Learning

Instruction is tailored to meet the individual needs of the students. Students work and are instructed at their own level.

Social Emotional Learning

Social workers are embedded in the school and work directly with our teachers, students, and families

Parents as Partners

We consider parents our partners. We hold monthly parent learning and engagement events.

Our Community School Model

Student health and wellness is a focus for the school. We have a wellness center, serve healthy meals, and promote physical activity throughout our day.

Afterschool

Belmont offers a full range of before and aftercare programs both during the school year and into the summer.

Program highlights include basketball, track, wrestling, drama, arts, and music.
